Grace-enabled gift or sacrifice?

Print This Post Print This Post

This blog builds onAccording to what you have.

2 Corinthians 8:10-12,

10 And here is my advice about what is best for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. 11 Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. 12 For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.

I wrote this three months ago and read it again. Noticed something again in verse 12. The word “gift.” A sacrifice may not necessarily be a gift. A true gift is a gift and does not expect anything in return. A gift is given to bless the recipient. This blesses the giver.

Gifts are given by and according to His diffused willingness by grace through revelation.

Two Adams

In the Garden of Eden, man’s spirit was alive with God’s life by His Spirit. The Holy Spirit κοινωνία, koinōnia, or has a spiritual bond beyond full description with my spirit and enlivens it. Prior to salvation, sin came. In the Garden of Eden, prior to the law, the knowledge of good and evil came and the  knowledge infiltrated through the soul and defiled the conscience and the spirit died. It was separated from Life. Prior to the Fall, the conscience was pure. All things were pure to person of the pure conscience. The conscience was not aware of the judgment based on the law within Adam’s heart through the command of God to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good (functioning, giving life) and evil (dysfunctional, separated from life). When Adam ate from the tree the expectation from the command given from God within Adam’s heart judged Adam. His conscience witnessed its judgment. The failure to meet the expectation manifested fear, but perfect love casts out fear. And perfect love does not and has not kept any record of wrongs ever. The manifestation of fear which was based on the expectation of the commandment motivated Adam to live his life on earth based on his understanding and self-strength. Adam sewed fig leaves to cover his newly discovered shame. He was attempting to self-manage his guilt by coping. Now, fear and the residual knowledge he had of love was mixed. He was living his life in the flesh and was unable to please God. He fell from grace. We can only please God through His faith in us. Now, Adam’s spirit was dead and soul was digressing from the knowledge of life and love. His flesh lost its immortality because his conscience was constantly aware of this judgment. Fear was in his soul and surged in his body’s tissue, chemicals, hormones and blood slowly leaking the life of God in him. The conscience was the separator from life through its awareness of the judgment of the law. The separation by the awareness brought death even prior to the law being given by Moses based on self-imposed law in his heart. Another Adam-like person needed to come to earth to be able to quicken the spirit, but how? By purging the conscience from the knowledge of the law’s judgment once and for all by an eternal sacrifice. According to the revelation, sacrifice, power, hope, grace, truth and faith of Christ, the Last Adam, my spirit is supernaturally quickened and made whole at salvation. My soul is being renewed daily by revelation. My body is quickened through the renewal of my soul. Fear of the judgment of any self-imposed law is abolished, obsolesced, obliterated and given to oblivion in my spirit. This knowledge is even apprehending my soul through the gate of my new purged conscience. My soul grows in the grace and knowledge of Christ, 2 Peter 3:18.

Dream about stadium

Had dream last night, 10/28/09, that I only remember a small piece from. My friend, Narcisso, and I were in an R.V. (recreational vehicle) traveling somewhere. Not sure where? I recall the atmosphere was filled with a sense of adventure and eager anticipation. I looked out the windshield and noticed a huge football or soccer stadium. It reminded me of the University of Texas Daryl Royal Memorial stadium. It was filled to capacity and the crowd was loud and excited.

The R.V. reminds me of Ephesians 4:11-13. The stadium reminds me of those who are predestined to be sons through Christ or the called out ones. The church.

Do we still have to prove or test God?

Do we still have to prove or test God?

No.

Old Testament quote: Mal. 3:10, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].”

If we do then we are not ministers of the New Covenant. The letter (Old Covenant) kills, but the Spirit gives life.

2 Cor. 3:6, “Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”

We have the Father’s Son now. He has us. He is revealed and His faith dwells in us now. Hebrews 1:1-2, Eph. 3:17.

His faith and willingness makes us righteous. Therefore, there is NO condemnation and we do not have to prove anything. The experience is not the proof, but because of the proof in us the experiences are manifested and created. Truth does not prove itself because it is truth. Light does not prove itself because it is light.

So, what about giving? Give because you want to. Read Supporting the Levitcal Priesthood.

If I am compelled by a need for approval then I am putting myself back under self-imposed law. The word says, “No flesh shall be justified before God by the law.” Romans 3:20

Christ has fulfilled all the law in me according to the revelation of Him in me. The just shall live by His faith in them by grace.

Molded pattern

John 20:25 talks about the marks left in Jesus’ hands.

Romans 5:14 speaks of the pattern of Him that was to come. The Last Adam.

The Greek word τύπος typos, means “a figure formed by a blow or impression.” This word reminds me of molding or casting. I think of Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Usain Bolt and other athletes. Each of these athletes were or are at the top of their sport. Everyone within their sport non-professional and professional look up to them because of their exceptional talent and ability. Players like this seem to take the sport to another plateau or level of existence and excellence.

Many claim when Michael Jordan entered and left the NBA he changed basketball like Julius Erving. Michael Jordan looked up to Julius Erving and the baton with passed so to speak. Now, you have Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. The same has happened with Tiger and Usain.

So, what about humanity or mankind? Who is the Michael Jordan τύπος typos, or pattern, for this planet? Does one exist?

I believe there have actually been two, but really one. The first Adamic pattern, Adam, and the Last Adamic pattern, Christ, 1 Cor. 15:45. God created man in His image: spirit, soul, body. Adam was created after another pattern that already existed, God. And in this body all fullness of the Godhead dwells, John 1:16, Eph. 1:23, Eph. 4:13, Col. 1:19, Col. 2:9. Can we even begin to imagine what that means? All the fullness of God in the body?

How do we get there? Romans 1:17, “The just shall live by faith.” We cannot get there without the complete ministry of the church. The five-fold ministry is part of the church. Jesus is the Chief apostle of His church and has given gifts to men. He is the pattern. He imparts this pattern to those who believe by grace and faith. The apostle and prophet impart the pattern of sound doctrine. This sound doctrine lays foundation and changes lives. It imparts the pattern of Christ unto the fullness of God. Exponential cannot begin to describe fullness. It is bigger than that. How can I say that? Then you tell me how big God is.

Col. 1:15-18, “15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.”

All things are held together by Him. From every atom and molecule to galaxy. Hebrews 1:3, “He upholds all things by the power of his word.”

Essence of fear

In cafeteria this morning, 10/22/09, getting coffee. I noticed a woman next to me. I sensed her fear. The thought came to mind, “Self-imposed law creates fear.”

So, what is this ’self’ apart from Christ? It seems like a fragmented, dead, insecure, self-willed, non-redemptive, unregenerate, spiritually uncircumcised, willfully ignorant, stubborn soul and dead in spirit.

Paul speaks of the ‘old man.’ The old man does not know love. Perfect love casts out fear and torment forever.

So, self-imposed law, Col. 2:14, creates an expectation and need for approval. It is never satisfied apart from Christ. The old man along with the intrinsic self-imposed law creates fear because of judgment and condemnation. Fear or the lack of the knowledge of perfect love can manifest in various ways, Gal. 5:19-21. The flesh manifests itself because of fear. The fruit of the Spirit bears itself because of grace and revelation. Therefore, the just shall live by faith or His faith in them. The just shall live their lives on this planet in revelation of Christ in them through faith and grace. This is the New Covenant.

Dream in a chaotic city

Had a dream last night, 10/19/09.

It was me, my friend, John Peter, and my two sons. It was relatively late at night and we were driving through the country. John Peter was driving. All of a sudden we hear something like a sonic boom. Everyone in the car passes out unconscious. I wake up and wake up my sons. I notice John Peter is still not conscious. I lay my hand on him and he wakes up. He says, “You may want to close your eyes and ears.” Then he grabs a sawed-off shotgun and we drive into a city. I keep my eyes open. We drive into a tunnel and I see a 10-15 foot skeleton like creature roaring at us. I think we swere out of its way and go through the city. People are running and screaming everywhere. I see spirits and creatures everywhere as well. The city is in total chaos like the end of the world or something. The creatures are trying to jump on our car. And then I wake up.

He dwells in reality and truth

Print This Post Print This Post

John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

1 Cor. 5:8, “…the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.”

Today, 10/16/09, the Lord told me, “I dwell in reality and sincerity.” I see reality as absolute and undeniable truth. The root of the Greek word for sincerity in the above verse, 1 Cor. 5:8, can mean ” ‘to separate,’ hence, ‘to be of opinion’, approve, esteem”. Truth is the decision and determining factor. He is truth and truth stands alone. Things that are not true do not stand with truth because they are not genuine. That is why when the foundation of a house cracks or falls it is because it was not established on something immovable. Truth is immovable.

Our identity is hid in Him, Col. 3:3. Our identity is only in the truth. Otherwise, what kind of identity would it be? It would be a self-imposed identity based on what I think is real. This is not necessarily truth. Truth does not budge an inch because it is truth. Truth does not lie or decieve because it is truth. In truth, there is all liberty from all things that are not true. Truth does not have to prove itself because it already is.

If my nature is righteous because of His faith in me and His Spirit apprehending me by grace then I am becoming truth in my triune being. Perhaps, you could say I am even becoming more real.

Resist like light

James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Paraphrase from the Greek, “Passively be subjected under God’s grace by the revelation of Christ in you. Resist, oppose and STAND (not sit) against the enemy or adversary and he will flee and take flight.”

Why does the adversary flee and take flight? Because Christ in you is enabling you to STAND established in Him by His grace and you have not moved because it is not within your nature to move or compromise.

If real Light is in me according to hearing the word of faith and the revelation of Christ in me by grace, then resistance to anything dark is passively accomplished due to the nature of the light and revelation of the word in me. The light of the word is truth and reality in me.

Col. 1:12-14, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers (or something that is a portion or part of something else, His fullness and nature) of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered (rescued and preserved) us from the power of darkness, and hath translated (transferred and transposed) [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins:”

His work is more real than anything else apart from Him. In Him, my conscience is not aware of the judgment or penalty of the self-imposed law of my heart. Now, in Him, there is NO condemnation ever, but grace unto righteousness, holiness and glory in Him.

Due to its nature darkness cannot apprehend light. He is the hope of glory and light of the world in us!

I knew and know you

Jeremiah 1:5 (YNG), “Before I form thee in the belly (mother’s womb or uterus), I have known thee; and before thou comest forth from the womb I have separated thee, a prophet to nations I have made thee.”

How is this possible?

Let’s say hypothetically my existence does not depend on time because I am not time-dependent. I also created a world and time was integrated into it. I still exist outside of time and have always existed because time is irrelevant to my existence and nature. Therefore, I know whoever exists in time. Those who were born into time are time-dependent. In this hypothetical example, I am not.

God the Father is also the father of our spirits, Heb. 12:9. He does not exist in time either. John says in John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” In Christ, we also were in the beginning, Eph. 1:4. If my identity is hid in Christ by His grace, faith and revelation of Him in me, Col. 3:3, and the truth is in Jesus, Eph. 4:21, and truth is not relative to time either, then in Christ, I am meaning I have always been and always will be. Christ is my elder brother.
