New way into the tabernacle

Print This Post Print This Post

Today, 11/30/09, I was thinking about the tabernacle. The way now into the tabernacle is through Christ. He is love and the only begotten Son of Love. God’s love is the way into the Holiest of Holies. Rom. 2:14-16 speaks of the the law written on our hearts our conscience that bears witness to that law. In Christ, by His precious, holy blood, our conscience is not aware of the judgment of the self-imposed law written on the Gentile heart. Why? Godly supernatural love , real love, does not keep any record of wrongs. Otherwise, it is a love that is only a soulish, emotional infatuation based on self (the old man). This infatuated based love reminds me of the tabernacle under the Old Covenant. A sacrifice of an animal was required to enter into God’s presence.

Rom. 3:20, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight…”

Rom. 8:1, “[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh (in deeds or manifestations of the flesh), but after the Spirit.”

1 Cor. 1:29, “That no flesh should glory in his presence.”

From what I’ve seen so far in my short life of 37 years, people (including myself) sometimes “let others in” if a prerequisite based on self-imposed law (because of fear) is met. These prerequisites could be: gifts, acts of service, words of affirmation, touch/affection, and/or quality time. If someone meets these requirements for another there is a potential for idolatry. Huh? Yes, because if that is the only reason they are being let in then it is not love and they are becoming a god so to speak to the person who has the ’standard’ set in their heart. The caveat is if or really when the person fails to continue to meet the standard then comes judgment and reckoning. The little god will need to pay up.

Christ has already paid the price and did so before the foundations of the earth. He is first and preeminent in everything, Colossians 1. Even though He did it all and paid for us we truly do not owe Him. Why? Because He is good and He is love. What? Yes, that is how good He is, but He is even more than that. The small English language cannot encapsulate His essence and never will.

The Lord told Moses, “I am the ever-existent One” or “I am that I am”. His existence hinges nothing outside of Himself. He is self-existent and there is a reality and truth in this existence by revelation in the heart of the believer.

Because He is and is Love and really all goodness we cannot pay him back, but can be holy offspring as He is holy according to the faith, truth and grace in us of His only begotten Son. Glory unto glory. The universal Church that Christ died for.

Why does one go to the Holy of Holies? To obtain grace and mercy in our time of need. Grace to do and be. Mercy and forgiveness once for all. Also, to have His love diffused into us to love ourselves, others and this creation.

Beings of faith

Sounds like we are created from the get-go to be beings of faith like the Creator. Duh.

Sensation and Action
Over the past decade psychologists such as Daniel M. Wegner of Harvard University amassed experimental evidence for a number of conscious sensations that accompany any willful action. The two most important are intention and agency. Prior to voluntary behavior lies a conscious intention. When you decide to lift your hand, this intention is followed by planning of the detailed movement and its execution. Subjectively, you experience a sensation of agency. You feel that you, not the person next to you, initiated this action and saw it through. If a friend were to take your hand and pull it above your head, you would feel your arm being dragged up, but you would not feel any sense of being responsible for it. The important insight here is that the consciously experienced feelings of intention and agency are no different, in principle, from any other consciously experienced sensations, such as the briny taste of chicken soup or the red color of a Ferrari.

What is being blameless?

1 Cor. 1:7, “Who shall also confirm (establish) you unto the end, [that ye may be] blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The Greek word means ” that cannot be called into to account, unreproveable, unaccused, blameless.”

How does this take effect? What do I need to do to make it happen?

Answer: nothing.

It is the impartation of the knowledge and understanding by grace that sin cannot be held to my account ever again by the revelation of Christ and His complete work on the cross.

Col. 1:9, “(We) do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;”

Liberty from envelopes

2 Cor. 3:17, “16 Nevertheless when one turns (converts or turns around due to ‘afterthought’) to the Lord, the veil (self-imposed law) is taken away (περιαιρέω periaireō). 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (freedom from the bondage of all self-imposed law).”

περιαιρέω periaireō: “to take away that which surrounds or envelopes a thing”.

The Spirit is there by grace and revelation. Not self-imposed law. The Spirit gives great assurance and hope. Self-imposed law does not.

Glory of nature

Today,11/11/09, I was looking outside at the trees and I was reminded of Rom. 1:20. The weather was sunny, 70’s, no clouds. I could see the reflection of the sun on the trees. I could see the leaves and branches wave in the wind. I perceived the Spirit of the Lord say to me, “That is the glory of the tree.” Earlier, I was reading about the Greek word “doxa” which is glory in English. I’m still chewing on it, but am getting a better understanding.

I am also reminded of Luke 12:27, “Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”

Trees, plants, flowers, coral reefs, and the like do not toil or spin to be what they were created to be. They each have their own glory because of what they are. The Greek word doxa means,”to give a proper opinion or estimate of something and thus the glory of God expresses all that He is in His Being and in His nature, character, power and acts.” The root of doxa is dokeo or “to think.”

So, do plants think? They do live and exist and give life. They don’t have brains as far as I know?

Col. 2:7 mentions another Greek word, “rooted”. The fuller translation is “to cause to take root” in reference to being rooted and built up in Christ. I believe plants are “caused to take root”. By what though? I believe the plants take root according to Eph. 1:11, “him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:” or Col. 1:17, “And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” And lastly, Heb. 1:3, “and upholding all things by the word of his power.”

I believe the plants “take root” because it is God’s will that the plant take root and bear fruit. Scientist don’t know why the plant takes root. They can share a lot of evidential information from what they see and touch. Hebrews 11:3 says, “We have understanding by faith…” Not by science. Science does not impart eternal life, Christ resurrection power, or true forgiveness. It “puffs” the fleshly brain and supports more information, but it does not impart spiritual substance. Only the Chief Apostle, Jesus Christ, can impart Himself by His Spirit, grace and truth.

So, the trees take root and live. They express what they are to the world with no shame. They do not toil or spin. They just are. They take root and reveal their glory and beauty according to the will of the Father.

Constantly established

1 Thess. 3:13 has been in my ears lately, “To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

The word “establish” can also mean “constant.”

Constant can mean the following:

  • not changing or varying; uniform; regular; invariable
  • continuing without pause or letup; unceasing
  • regularly recurrent; continual; persistent
  • steadfast; firm in mind or purpose; resolute

So, the above verse could also read,

“Unto  Him establishing your hearts now (invariably, unceasingly, continually, always, resolutely) irreprehensible and blameless in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

Keep us from malignance

2 Thess. 3:3, “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil (malignancy)”

Been noticing lately that the verses in the bible read so much different in the Greek. They seem more in tune to what I perceived witnessed in my spirit.

“Evil” in the above scripture is πονηρός ponēros. It means, “bad in effect, malignant.” Another definition of malignant is “tending to produce death, as bubonic plague.1

“Keep” means “to guard or keep watch.”

The Lord, our faith High Priest, in the order of Melchizedek, “King of Righteousness”, Heb. 3:1, 4:14, 5:10, establishes us in Him by His grace, faith and revelation of Him in us. The establishment in His nature, even righteousness, guards us from the malignancy of the judgment and penalty of self-imposed law! He guards and keeps us from the effects of sin because of the completeness of His work that was before the foundations of the earth. He keeps us from death and condemnation because we have been separated according to the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus making us free from the law of sin and death, Rom. 8:2. Our inner man is ever-renewing now outside of time according to Him, His grace, Living Word and revelation of Him. HE ESTABLISHES US in HIM, in life, His life, in light which darkness cannot overtake or comprehend.

Establish you

Some Pauline verses regarding establishment in Christ

  • Establish according to Christ’s power
  • Establish according to Paul’s gospel “in him” in Christ
  • Establish according to proclamation or preaching of Jesus Christ
  • Establish according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began
  • Establish our hearts unblameable in holiness before God the Father at Christ’s second appearing
  • Establish us in every good word and work
  • Establish us according to the Lord’s faithfulness to keep us from evil

Expecting more revelation

1 Cor. 1:7, “So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation (in you) of our Lord Jesus Christ:”

Paraphrase: …Assiduously and patiently waiting for the revelation of Christ in you.

Another example of the Epiphany blog.

This verse talks about His coming. 1 Cor. 1:8, “Who shall also confirm you unto the end, [that ye may be] blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Imparting grace and not law

1 Cor. 4:14-17, “14 I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. 15 For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you, imitate me. 17 For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.”

The Greek word for “instuctors” is παιδαγωγός paidagōgos.

Paidagogos definition:

“a guide,” or “guardian” or “trainer of boys,” lit., “a child-leader” (pais, “a boy, or child,” ago, “to lead”), “a tutor,” is translated “instructors” in 1Cr 4:15, AV (RV, “tutors”); here the thought is that of pastors rather than teachers; in Gal 3:24, 25, AV, “schoolmaster” (RV, “tutor,”), but here the idea of instruction is absent. “In this and allied words the idea is that of training, discipline, not of impartation of knowledge. The paidagogos was not the instructor of the child; he exercised a general supervision over him and was responsible for his moral and physical well-being. Thus understood, paidagogos is appropriately used with ‘kept in ward’ and ’shut up,’ whereas to understand it as equivalent to ‘teacher’ introduces an idea entirely foreign to the passage, and throws the Apostle’s argument into confusion.”

παιδαγωγός or paidagōgos cannot impart revelatory life-changing knowledge. No flesh shall be justified by the law. Paul was an apostle or messenger sent with full power of attorney to do the will of the Sender. The “instructor or schoolmaster” does not have God-given authority because he or she can only give  anecdotal doctrine that is not necessarily sound or hygienic. The “instructor or schoolmaster” does not impart himself by grace either, Phil. 1:7.
